CPI(ML) Liberation mourns the passing of Comrade Rajendra Majhi, Secretary of the Padmapur Block Committee of the party in Rayagada district of Odisha and a member of the District Committee. He passed away on the morning of 16 June 2026.
Comrade Rajendra Majhi dedicated his political and organisational life to the struggles of working people. During his tenure, he actively led and participated in struggles of Pachika (Cook) and Sahayika (Helper) workers, and remained consistently committed to the rights and dignity of the working class and rural poor. He stood firmly with people’s movements and contributed to strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroots level in the region.
For a prolonged period, he had been suffering from health complications and was under treatment at Brahmapur Medical College and Hospital and Gunupur Medical Hospital. Despite his illness, he remained connected to the struggles of the people and the organisational work of the party.
He breathed his last at his in-laws’ residence in Pusiguda village under Guluguda Panchayat.
The CPI(ML) Liberation pays its respectful homage to Comrade Rajendra Majhi and rededicates itself to the struggles he served throughout his life. The party conveys its deepest condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and comrades in this moment of grief.
